Since I have not had a chance to write in quite some time, I want to start with saying the time I have spent offline, have been quite eventful.
Enough of that though, maybe sometime I can get in to a little more detail... But for now I just want to talk about my yummy day :)
I have been using Instagram more often now on my phone, so I have seen people doing these cute little meals & I just had to try it! They are pretty healthy too :)
For Breakfast...
I made this beautiful palm tree meal that was not only good looking but very tasty! The kids loved it (of course their plates didn't have the sugar though) & so did the fiance & I :). You take some juicy kiwis & cut them into round slices then cut them in half, then you take a banana & cut it in two, place on two sides of the plate & then slice the banana but leave the banana in a line together. After that you sprinkle sugar as sand below the trunk of the palm tree. I did see some people used mandarin oranges instead of sugar for the sand/ground.
For Lunch...
This one is cute flowers made out of an egg & a green pepper (As you can see, the flowers got a little messy looking, I later found out people took their pictures before the egg was all the way done when it looked most like a flower, but still cute though!). It isn't as easy as it looks to keep the eggs inside the pepper but it was not a very hard meal either & is pretty tasty. The prep time for this one isn't long at all. Other people used different types of peppers to have sort of a variety but I decided to try it with just the green ones today. You cut the top off of the pepper & then cut it in to the "ring" like slices. I did it about 1/2 inch to an inch in thickness. You put them on the pan when it is hot about on med heat. After you put the slices on the pan, crack an egg in each one. When it looks like it is time to flip, flip it & finish them up. I salted mine while they were cooking & then after as well (ran out of pepper lol).
Overall, my favorite meal was the fruit palm trees, it was full of flavor & it was just so adorable! If you substitute the sugar it would be a very healthy meal! Four stars for the Palm Trees & Three stars for the Flowers.
